Trading the Comfort of Fitting In For The Calling Of Standing Out
Youth vs Parents is what much of the world portrays the family life to be. But we know God has a much different plan. God’s desire is that we would glorify him with our lives, and one of the primary ways he calls us to do that is to live differently. He calls us to live like what we are, aliens. This is hard as a youth to accept and even harder as a parent to prepare our youth for. But that is what we are going to dive into tonight. How as youth do you live as an alien and have joy doing that? And how do you as parents parent your youth in a way that prepares them to do this well?
So for this event we are encouraging all parents to come join us at youth for a night! Bring your money for tuck shop, come and get ready to worship together, learn together, pray together. We’ll dive into what God’s Word says about trading the comfort of fitting in for the calling of standing out.
And then, because we love doing competitive things together, we are going to play Minute to Win It games…Youth vs Parents where all the bragging rights will be on the line.
